Cherry Hills gets new salon franchise

Local entrepreneur Mark Christensen opened the fourth Colorado location of New Orleans-based franchise My Salon Suite, located in the Cherry Hills/Englewood market at 1610 East Girard Place. The 5,000-square-foot space is home to 25 stations available to lease by hair stylists and manicurists. The salon promises marketing and business operations support, as well as continued training and business development.

Denver Real Estate firm opens Arvada branch

Leprino Home Residential Real Estate celebrated the grand opening of its new West Branch. The Olde Town Arvada location will be the Denver firm’s second. Located at 5612 Yukon Street, the office offers interactive video and virtual tours, as well as an experienced team.

Steampunk puzzle restaurant launches new experience

Solutions Lounge and Restaurant—a puzzle-themed restaurant designed in the neo-Victorian “steampunk” fashion—announced its latest escape-themed room, “Under Pressure.” The one-hour immersive experience will mimic the sinking of a U.S. Navy submarine, and participants will attempt to repair the vessel before it’s too late. The restaurant is part of the Escapology family, which runs immersive game-themed venues in eight states and Ecuador, according to its website.

Denver staffing firm acquired

Irvine, California-based KORE1 announced the acquisition of Kranect, a Denver IT staffing firm. This is KORE1’s first venture into Colorado.

Cherry Creek Marriot gets new restaurant

Social Fare Denver Dining & Drinks is the latest addition to the Cherry Creek dining scene. Located within the JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek, the restaurant is led by industry veteran Executive Chef Randall Baldwin, and promises locally-sourced ingredients in dishes like ancho braised beef short rib nachos and mile high meatloaf. Social Fare offers several weekly happy hours and a kids-themed pancake brunch on Sundays.
